What to Expect from AP
You should have expected homework upon entering this class, much like I did. Although prepare yourself for the many nights you will spend with a red book, if you are wishing to pass this class and or the AP exam. I can not stress enough how important it is to complete your homework every night. Mr. Brock tries to make it as easy as possible while you can still benefit from it. The one night that I dropped the ball on homework, I got a zero on the quiz the next day. Do not make laziness a habit. After my first zero, I stuck my nose to the grindstone which resulted in my grade raising even higher than it had been before. During my year of AP, Mr. Brock had a system of homework points for students. At the beginning of the year, each student started out with 15 points. A student could keep their points with each completion of homework they had been assigned. This system can save your butt if you get poor test grades, just make sure to hold up your end. With this in mind, be sure to note that this course will soak up a bit of your free time. You should expect at least an hour of homework/studying each night. If you have never had to study for a class before, this course will change things for you. Don't worry, you will adapt quickly.
